Karin Eriksson

Karin Eriksson's collections emerge gradually or they may be solutions meeting a certain need. Designing is an ongoing process in her mind that finds its way to her sketchbook or directly into the clay. 

Karin works with both porcelain and stoneware and go for the high fired and tough materials. The porcelain work being shiny white and smooth to touch. 



 

Her style

Karin Eriksson design and craft functional ceramics and interior products – often throwing the clay very thinly but also from time to time using a heavier consistency to obtain more of a robust form of expression. Occasionally I will also use cast or form pressed clay.

Inspiration

Karin is inspired by almost everything, from fashion to cooking. But her main source of inspiration has always been the Swedish nature. Karin Eriksson is Swedish and lives and works in Stockholm. Most of her work is sold overseas – mainly in Japan, the United States and Denmark.
